Daphnee you have been part of our family for 3 fun, wonderful, crazy filled years! You are one of a kind sweets! You are really into playing with little people toys, which is why we got you a doll house! You love to laugh and you love to dance. You love to play with McKaylee and you are playing more with Austen. You love being the big sister! Your favorite color is Purple! Everything is purple. I asked you what kind of cake you wanted.... your answer was PURPLE! I am so glad that you are my daughter! We all love you so much! Happy Birthday D!

Sing Song

I'm sitting in the front room listening to you sing the ABC's in the kitchen. You have to cutest high pitched voice. You don't sing very often, but when you do it always brightens my day and makes me love you so much more.

Easter 2011

We wanted to celebrate the spiritual part of Easter Sunday on Sunday so we had the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.

I was worried that Kaylee would dominate in the egg hunt but you proved me wrong. You were fast and you bucket filled up pretty fast.

P says....

We have been working with you and McKaylee to help you learn the sounds that letters make. Kaylee would ask, "what does fridge start with?" and we would say "FFFF Fridge." I guess that we need to work with you a little bit more because you said. " Puh Puh Chair" Um Ok.

Potty Training

My sweet Daphnee you were a challenge to potty train. I tried when you were about 2 years old, then 2 years and 4 months, then 2 1/2 years old. It was a frustrating. I knew you were ready to be potty trained you had all the signs. You didn't like to be wet or dirty. You could hold it, and you always told me when you needed a diaper change. So I asked your dad to take charge. The first day you had a few accidents but you had 2 successes. You held it in until you couldn't hold it anymore. It was frustrating. By the 3rd day we decided that it would be a good incentive to get you a Tinkerbell doll that you would have to earn by having no accidents! That did it. You finally had a day with no accidents and you have been doing well ever since. I love to hear you happily say.. I'm a big girl no more diapers for me! Hallelujah!

Prophet

We had been working with McKaylee to teach her the name of the Prophet Thomas S. Monson. We worked with her a while but she just couldn't remember his name. A few days after the teaching session we were eating dinner and we asked Kaylee what the Prophets name was she couldn't remember it but you could. You piped up in your cute voice and answered Thomas. Smarty Pants!

Doggy Trouble

I was inside feeding Austen and you were outside in the backyard playing with daddy. All of the sudden you started screaming at the top of your lungs and running. I thought that you saw a bug. Then all of the sudden a little chiuahua was chasing you. Your dad chased it out of the yard. Later that night when we were talking about it your dad told you to tell me about the dog chasing you and you said.."Mommy, the dog tried to eat me." We all started laughing. I think the funniest part was, you were so scared of him in our yard but once he was back in the neighbors you were saying " Hi Puppy, Hi Puppy" You are so silly

Shampoo Masterpiece

Daddy was having too much fun washing your hair. I think your new name should be alfalfa!

Dress Up

You and McKaylee loved to play house and dress up. Kaylee was a dancer. You were a dancer/doctor/mommy. What a great combination

Daphnee and Austen

Frozen

In January there was a snow storm and really freezing weather. It got so cold that the power went out. It was FREEZING in our house. You dad made a pretty cool " warming Zone" but it didn't help. We had to leave for a little while to go to a friends house to get warm!

Hold Me

You were having a rough day. I think that you were feeling a little left out because Austen was having a bad day but getting all the attention. When we asked if you wanted to hold her your mood improved fast! You loved holding her and trying to get her to smile! What a good big sister.

Wrestle Mania

You dad thought it would be a good idea to teach you girls how to arm wrestle. You didn't really get it but it was funny to watch you each win!

I'm Done

Aunt Steph and I wanted to get some really cute pictures of all of you. I guess we were taking too long because after a while you just wouldn't smile. We bribed you with so many things but you were just done. At least we did get some really good pics!
